  1. Create a Facebook Event for your Launch of viral content. All your friends will LOVE getting numerous reminders a day to attend your event. Make a BIG deal about this (see #4).
  2. Include bacon and/or cats. FACT: Bacon greases the cogs of viral marketing. I do have to caution you against posting anything about bacon-wrapped cats. This delicious sounding strategy WILL backfire on you. Trust me.
  3. Schedule tweets to go out every 25 minutes. For extra credit, @-mention awesome people and tell them they HAVE to check out what you’ve created.
  4. Use ALL CAPS in tweets, facebook posts, etc. ALL CAPS = Cruise control for awesome.
  5. Call it viral. Seriously you MUST do this. Without calling it viral, people won’t actually know that they are supposed to share it with their friends. This step is ABSOLUTELY necessary.

  1. Casey you really nailed it. :) I really hope this post is viral so your Klout will show that you are influential about bacon and cats!

  2. If Klout scores influenced epitaphs: A man who cared deeply about bacon and cats.
