Red Cross Presentation CheckThe American Red Cross of Southwestern Indiana raised money to support the Japanese earthquake and tsunami relief efforts with a Denim for Disaster Relief event. For a $5 micro-donation participants ‘bought’ the opportunity to wear jeans at work for a day.

Sure, it’s fun and a wee bit silly but raising money to support such a good cause is nothing to take lightly. Our office alone raised $100 for the cause. And because we can we made a giant presentation check to give to Greg Waite of the American Red Cross.

The American Red Cross of Southwestern Indiana’s main purpose is to provide support and relief services to our community. Every time there is a residence-destroying fire in our area you can bet the Red Cross is going to be there to offer support to the people whose world has been shattered. Blood drives, local disaster preparedness, CPR and first aid training and other life saving preparations are just a few of the other services they provide.

Please support the American Red Cross. Check their website for ways you can be a Red Cross Hero: www.evansvilleredcross.org
