Where’s Walter – YMCA logo redesign
April 8, 2011
The YMCA rebranding effort has made its way to Evansville, Indiana! The colorfully redesigned logo has met with mixed reviews. Personally, I’m a fan of the newly stylized logo. The different colored versions don’t follow standard logo design practices but I think it works. [disclosure: we did make many of the signs that go along with Evansville's YMCA rebranding efforts] Focusing on the ‘Y’ just makes sense because that is how people typically refer to where they are going.

The YMCA has been a committed part of our community for over 150 years. The mission of the YMCA of Southwestern Indiana is: “The YMCA of Southwestern Indiana, Inc., following the example of Jesus Christ, responds to community needs, by serving all people, especially youth, through relationships and activities that promote healthy spirit, mind, and body.”
With a new logo comes a need for new signs. We were proud to be the signage provider for the YMCA rebranding effort in Evansville. We made indoor signs as well as the outdoor signs for the Downtown YMCA location.
