Well, okay, Sign-A-Rama was NOT Owen’s wish that will be granted by the Make A Wish organization. He’ll be attending the 44th annual Country Music Awards on November 10th. He did, however, visit AmeriStamp Sign-A-Rama today to assist in dropping off the Signs of Support Grant Application for Make A Wish. Signs of Support Grants help non-profit organizations (like Make A Wish) by offering free and low cost signage.
This is our second year of offering the Signs of Support Grants to local non-profits and this is the first time that we’ve had someone come in that has actually been helped by one of the applicant organizations. Wow, what an experience! Owen and his Dad, Art, took a tour of our facility to see how we make signs and rubber stamps. They left with a bag full of AmeriStamp Sign-A-Rama swag.
Much of Owen’s plans for the CMA’s are secret (even he doesn’t know all of the exciting things in store for him) but I can tell you that a cowboy hat will be involved. I wonder how many country music star signatures will be on his hat when he gets back.
Granted Wishes, like Owen’s CMA trip, don’t just magically happen. The Make A Wish Foundation counts on the support of local small businesses and organizations donating time, money, material, and even unused frequent flier miles.
