Flag Day – Get your Patriotism on!

by
June 7, 2010

United States of America FlagFlag Day 2010 is quickly approaching. Next Monday marks the day where we all swell a little with pride remembering the values and freedoms for which our flag stands.

As a veteran-owned company, we have a personal attachment to the very human sacrifices that have protected our great country and the flag that represents it.

A few things of interest about the Flag of the United States of America:

If you need a flag for Flag Day, we have a variety of sizes and styles to fit your needs. See our Flag options. We also offer flag disposal – simply drop off your faded, worn out, or stained flag and we’ll take care of the rest.

Heard about our contest for free flags? You know what to do below… Contest ends June 14, 2010.

  1. I am just sorry that we don’t celebrate flag day in a more appropriate way. I mean you usually see a few flags but just not as many as we did in the past. We, as American citizens, should all have a flag in the front yard on that day.

  2. The flag of the United States of America: a symbol of freedom across the globe; a reminder that freedom is not free; liberty from unjust persecution; stability; protector; glory; a reminder of those who have gone before us to pave the way; a reminder that a lot of pavement still needs to be laid; a symbol that has flow from sea to shining sea around the world and even on the moon.

Red White Blue – one star for each state in the union, one stripe for each original colony. May she wave forever.

  3. Thank you Kevin and Jenny for your wonderful insights on Flag Day!
You have won a free 4″ x 6″ Mini Flag and will be entered to win a 4′x 6′ Nylon USA Flag (a $50 value!). The contest ends at 8AM on Flag Day (6/14) and we will draw and announce the winner of the 4′ x 6′ Flag that morning via Facebook.

Stop by our showroom (1300 N. Royal Avenue on Evansville’s East Side) anytime after the announcement to pickup your flag. We look forward to seeing you!

  4. I would love to win the stars and stripes. I love my family, country and flag. God Bless America!

  5. I have the sweetest picture of two of my grandsons on Memorial Day at the service. They each have their little flags and are proud to be holding them. It gave me the opportunity to explain to the oldest what the flag meant. I miss days of patriotism when people automatically stood as the flag passed by………….

  6. I really miss our flag and pole. A month or so ago, the winds took our flag and 10foot pole. It was mounted in a great deal of concrete, so it broke about 3′ above the ground. We haven’t decided how or where we are going to replace it. I would love to win one.

  7. My husband wants a flag to fly on our house. We are proud to be an american.

  8. we are proud to display our flag on our home and business proud of what those stars and stripes mean and my ancestors who fought for the right to fly it Thank You to all our soldiers who fight for the right today

  9. It is great to see all these patriotic posts!
Did you know that Flag Day is not recognized as an official Federal Holiday? Do you feel it should be?
Spread the word on the importance of patriotism and remind your friends and family to celebrate Flag Day on Monday.
